This rare antique vesta case made around the 1880s in India Raj Kutch region is up for sale.There are no hallmarks on this case, but like all other silver pieces from the region, these have no hallmarks, but professionally tested for at least .950 silver grade.It is superbly crafted with an art nouveau floral pattern in the famous style of Kutch silver-work.In a shape of a small medieval book.The side is ridged for striking a match.It opens both sides to release matches; the hinges close firmly.The box is also in excellent condition despite its age, and there are no dents or repairs.
