Description
Antique Victorian Gold Propelling Pencil With A Lion Intaglio For Cleg Family
Beautiful antique gold pencil that is in working condition but will require a new pencil lead.
The pencil is unmarked but has been XRF tested and tests 12ct gold; please note that this is not plated.
The engine-turned design is lovely, and the top is set with a 10mm round white stone with Lion intaglio.
The Lion represents the Cleg or Clegg family crest, but I am unsure.
There is a little split in the main body, and a small part of it seems missing.
Just so you know, I will accept but not unreasonable offers, as the scrap man offered good money.
However, I don't like scraping nice things, and this pencil is one of them.
It measures about 9.5cm in the closet and 11.5cm in the open.
Total Weight: 16.59 grams
It is in good condition for its age, with visible signs of age and usage (with minor visible dents )
It will need a good cleaning.
It comes in the original conditions as found and sold as seen.
