Japanese Vesta Case Match Safe Holder Brass

This Japanese matchbox features an image of a man and a Bee.
This matchbox has an exceptionally beautiful patina.
This matchbox, made in the 1880s or 1890s, was made as Japan was transitioning from a society at war to a period of peace.
It is a beautiful piece to gift or for your collection.

It is in very good condition for its age, but the spring of the lid is broken.

It measures approximately 4cm x 2.8cm x 1.1cm.
