Description

This is a rare aluminium-made tuberculosis pocket sputum with lids on both sides.
It was probably made in Germany around the Second World War.
I had many of these over the years, but all in blue cobalt glass; I have never seen one made of aluminium.
It is in very good condition with visible signs of age and usage.
Tuberculosis patients used these types of spittoons.
