Sterling Silver Ladies Compact By Asprey & Co Birmingham 1959
This is a stunning, quite rare sterling silver ladies' compact with an engine-turned design and a gilded interior.
The tip to open is made of 9ct gold, tested and unmarked.
The box has an amazing hinge which can't be seen when closed from the outside.
It is missing the small mirror, but the frame for it is present.
Maker: Asprey & Co
Hallmarks: Birmingham mark, letter "K" - 1959
It measures approximately 7.2cm x 7.2cm square.
Total weight: 140.7 grams.
It is in excellent condition for its age with minor dents, light tarnish and surface marks.
It will need a good polishing.
It comes in the original condition as found and sold as seen.
