  • Silver Standard: Sterling Silver (.925)
  • Length: Approx. 15.5 cm
  • Width: Approx. 4.5 cm

Description
The brush is of elongated oval form with sterling silver mount and engine-turned guilloché ground beneath translucent white enamel. The decoration features a radiating sunburst pattern centred to the panel, accented with gilt stylised motifs to the upper and lower sections.

The silver mount frames the enamel panel with a plain polished border and shaped terminal detail to the base. The reverse retains its bristle fitting with wooden base.

Hallmarks are struck to the silver rim and include the lion passant, Birmingham anchor, date letter “K” for 1959, and the maker’s mark for Albert Carter.

Mid-20th century enamel-mounted dressing table items of this type were often produced as part of coordinated vanity sets.

Condition
Good vintage condition.

Clear hallmarks. Enamel generally well preserved with light surface wear consistent with age and use. Minor surface scratches visible under close inspection. Bristles intact. No significant enamel losses observed.
