It is engraved with the GREY GOOSE name, flying goose emblem and Theo Fennell’s facsimile signature. The full hallmark comprises TF for Theo Fennell, the seated Britannia fineness symbol, 958 millesimal fineness mark, London leopard’s head and date letter "j" for 2008.

This item was never available for public retail. It was custom-commissioned for the ultra-exclusive 2008 Grey Goose "Characters & Cocktails" Winter Ball, a legendary celebrity fundraiser held in London explicitly in aid of the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF). Attended by Sir Elton John, David Furnish, and the fashion elite, the event auctioned off bespoke, limited-edition barware created by top-tier British designers. Crafted from high-purity Britannia silver (95.8% pure, higher than standard Sterling) by Elton John’s own preferred personal jeweller, Theo Fennell, this is a true investor-grade collector's piece.

Theo Fennell established his eponymous London business in 1982. He is known for theatrical jewellery, novelty silver and bespoke commissions combining traditional British craftsmanship with contemporary design. The straw is in good condition, with light surface marks, fine scratches and areas of tarnish from age and handling. The feather terminal and hollow shaft remain intact. The original fitted case has light storage wear and marks to the lining.
