Victorian Antique Propelling 9ct Gold Pencil & Seal

Description

It dates to the late 1800s and has a seal stone in the shield-shaped terminal end.

This pencil is quite unusual as it has been gilded over with probably a high-grade gold; it will say 22ct, but not sure.
The pencil is fully working; it slides down to extend the nozzle with the ring slider, and to propel the lead, you turn the nozzle.
It is in excellent condition, as good as you will find, there are no dings or dents, and it has a smooth action both sliding down and propelling.

It measures 12.5cm (5") long when extended and 10cm (4") closed.

Weigh about 18 grams.
