RARE CRAVEN DUNNILL MAJOLICA TILE ACANTHUS BORDER DESIGN C.1880. PERSIAN STYLE

The tile is decorated in high relief with a Islamic inspired design of a large flower and leaves.
The tile measures approximately 6 x 6 inch square.

On the back has Craven Dunnill and Co. and Jackfield England impressed marks.
Similar tiles on different colourways can be seen at the Jackfield Tile Museum, please check the last picture.

An extremely rare tile to be found.

The tile has some chips to the edges, chip on corner and some thin adhesive on the back.
This tile will look fabulous framed.
