Antique Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Etruria Hand Painted Tile 8" C1870

Lovely antique Victorian tile of the scenes of boys and girls playing in the countryside in the style of Kate Greenaway.
There are only six tiles in the series.
Scarce series of tiles by Josiah Wedgwood.
Collecting Victorian Tiles by Terence A. Lockett includes a picture on page 159 taken from the Wedgwood pattern book.

The tile is transfer printed in brown and measures 15.2cm x 15.2 cm (6"x6").
The tile is in excellent condition.
