The tile is part of a set of 14 tiles we have acquired lately.As you can see from the pictures, the tile has some surface scratches, all due to age and usage.But there aren't any significant chips or cracks in the tile.The tile has been hand-painted in a raised paste of gold and probably platinum colours all on a black background.We believe the tile was painted by the Japanese Seiz Saeki, who worked for Royal Doulton in that period.Tile measures 6" x 6", (15cm x 15cm) and is about 1cm thickness.
