Antique Bronze The Florentine Boar II Porcollino After Antonio Susini

Figure in bronze of the Florentine Boar. The open-mouthed boar is half raising on his forefeet, his left haunch still resting on the ground. He was imitated from the antique bronze figure formerly in the Mercato Vecchio.
The original Florentine boar was made in the workshop of Antonio Susini and Giovan Francesco Susini in Florence in the late 16th or early 17th century.
This is a later copy by an unknown maker in the late 19th century.

It measures about 16.5cm H x 19.5cm W x12.cm D

It is in excellent condition for its age,
It will need a good cleaning. It comes in the original conditions as found.
