Doulton Lambeth Jug Slaters Patent Leather Look Motto Silver Rim Very Rare

This is a rare cream-coloured Doulton Lambeth Slaters Patent Motto jug.
It has a lizard skin-like finish and a solid silver rim that is fully hallmarked.
The silversmiths who made the silver rim are Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd of London, and the letter given on the silver rim is P, indicating the year 1890.

Motto reads "He that buys land buys stones, he that buys flesh buys bones, he that buys eggs buys many shells, he that buys good ale buys nothing else."

It measures about 18.5cm H x 16.5cm W x 12.2cm D.

Total Weight: 800 grams

It is in excellent condition for its age.
It will need a good cleaning. It comes in the original conditions as found.
