Napoleon Bonaparte Cisalpine Republic Medal Snuff/Tobacco Keepsake

This Napoleon Bonaparte Medal Snuff Box is marked "ARGENT," which is French for silver.
The two halves of the box unscrew, and the original medal was issued in 1799.
The obverse side features a left-facing image of Napoleon's head by Carlo Domenico Lorenzo Lavy, with the words "BONAPARTE PIMVS CONSVL."
The reverse side depicts Hercules with his club and lion skin on the ground behind him, aiding Italy to stand up; winged Victory inscribes a shield in the background.
The text around the reverse side reads "XII MVNITISSIMIS OPPIDIS VNA DIE AD DEDITIONEM COACTIS" (12 strong places compelled to surrender in one day).
At the base of the reverse side, it says "RESPVBLICA CISALPINA RESTITVTA" (The Cisalpine Republic Restored).

It measures about 1.8cm H x 5cm in diameter.

Total Weight: 89 grams

It is in excellent condition for its age.
It will need a good polishing. It comes in the original conditions as found.
