Antique A.Hawes & Son Eyeglasses with Earpiece Chain Wire

This is a lovely antique pair of reading glasses.
They are rimless and armless, with a thin, light chain that attaches to a wire you can fit over your ear.

These come probably in their original case with the following stamped in gold ink:

A. Hawes & Son.

The inside velvet is worn through in patches and there is wear on the outside as well.
It still closes and opens perfectly with no hinge problems.
There is a small chip on a lense.
