Sterling Silver Anointing Teaspoon- Birmingham 1936

This is a hallmarked sterling silver anointing spoon. It was assayed in Birmingham in 1936 and made by Turner & Simpson.

It was made as a souvenir of the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. It was created as a replica of the anointing spoon used in the coronation ceremony.
It is in good general condition.

Maker: Turner & Simpson

Hallmarks: Birmingham mark, letter "M"-1936
