Straight Pull Corkscrew by William Gamble REGISTERED NO 41406 LEVER SHEFFIELD

This is a description of an antique straight-pull corkscrew manufactured by William Gamble.
The corkscrew is marked with 'REGISTERED NO 41406 LEVER SHEFFIELD' above a wavy line on the shank. William Gamble (Sons), The corkscrew features two spikes that would twist the cork once the worm was fully inserted, breaking any bond between the cork and the bottle.
The helical worm is in perfect condition, and the corkscrew is estimated from around 1887.

It measures about 7.5cm x 11cm long.

It is in very good condition for its age.
